Training for schools & colleges

The Training & Publishing Wing (Om V. Ramesh Kumar (VU2JFF)) organises ASOC coaching, classroom sessions, and on-air mentoring. RIRCOM has conducted programmes at schools, polytechnics, and engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu since the 1990s.

  • ASOC examination preparation for students, Home Guards, scouts, and school clubs
  • Ham radio lectures and hands-on demos at engineering colleges and polytechnics
  • Demonstrations and awareness programmes at higher secondary and primary schools
  • ISDR (software-defined radio), antenna-building, and homebrew HF workshops
  • Disaster-management and emergency-communications training for counsellors and NGOs
  • Satellite communication and triband HF introductions for college students

Training is led by the Training & Publishing Wing.
